The Novotel Hotel is the only upmarket establishment in this area at this time but that will soon change with the completion of Lombok's new International Airport 15 minutes to the north. The area has many backpacker hotels and small warungs for the surfing community. There are no Banks or ATM machines [nearest is Praya, one hour away]. There are non-official Money Changers but at very bad rates of exchange.
